Black Eyed Susan Reading Program

Wed, 12/23/2015 - 7:41pm

The Black Eyed Susan Award is an annual book award chosen by Maryland students.  This year LoES students have the opportunity to serve as judges. This is a voluntary reading program, done mostly at home.  Students will learn about the nominated books and how the program works in their Library Media classes the week of January 4-10th.  Then they can choose the books they want to read to be eligible to vote on their favorite.  Students can read the books independently, with someone else, or listen to an audiobook.  As they read, students will record the books they finish on a brochure.  All brochures are due to Mrs. Jankoski by Friday, April 15th.  Click here for more details and materials for the BES program.
