Unheard Perspectives - 5th graders

Wed, 09/19/2018 - 9:57am

Is there an African American innovator who has had a significant impact on your life?

All interested fifth grade students are welcome to sign up and join this great opportunity!

Participants gather weekly to hone their research skills and learn more about black innovators in American history.  Students will use primary sources, like letters, songs, interviews, pictures, and maps as well as newspaper articles, biographies, and much more to learn about our history.  Final projects will be showcased and presented at the expo in February. Please stop by Mrs. Veid’s room to sign up by September 27th and hear more about the showcase!
