Katie Murray

It is with great pleasure that I return to Longfellow Elementary to serve the students, staff, and families in this community. I am starting my 19th year in Howard County and have had many great experiences throughout the county. I taught special education for 12 years: 10 years at Gorman Crossing Elementary and 2 years at Longfellow Elementary. I had the opportunity to be a Leadership Intern for 2 years, one year at Hollifield Station Elementary and one year at Bollman Bridge Elementary. For the last 5 years, I was the Assistant Principal at Cradlerock Elementary. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Special Education from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Master of Science degree in Severe Disabilities from UMCP. I earned my certification in Administration from Towson University. I grew up in Prince George’s County and moved to Mt. Airy, MD about 5 years ago.
