Parents' Right to Know

The Federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) contains several provisions which promote parent/school partnership through communication. One such provision gives parents of students attending Title I schools the right to ask for and receive information about the professional qualifications of their child's classroom teacher, paraprofessional, or long-term substitute teacher.
