Big Smiles Dental Clinic - LoES has partnered with Big Smiles to offer in-school dental care. Best of all, there is no cost to you if your child is insured with Medicaid or CHIP! Private insurance and affordable self-pay options are also available. Having your child seen by the in-school dentist saves you valuable time. Top quality care is provided by local, licensed dentists right in the familiar surroundings of your child’s school. Dental care includes a complete exam, x-rays, cleaning, fluoride, and sealants when needed. Restorative care, such as fillings, may also be provided. Our clinic will be held on January 9th, 10th, and 11th.

Please help a family in need this holiday season. Stop by the front office, choose a snowman tag from the bulletin board, wrap your new gifts and secure the snowman tags to the gift. Place the gifts in the designated bin in the front office. Grocery gift cards are also appreciated. All donations are due by Tuesday, December 19th.

4th/5th Grade Spelling Bee

Our 4th and 5th grade students will be participating in a Classroom Spelling Bee. All students will participate in the first competition, which will take place during the week of December 11th, in your child’s homeroom. Level 1 of the competition will be open to our teachers and students only. Level 2 will consist of the winner and one runner up from each class. Parents are invited to attend the Longfellow Elementary School Annual Spelling BEE to be held on Friday, January 18th, 2018 at 9:05 am in the cafeteria.

Check Lost & Found by Dec. 22

Over the past few months of this 2017-2018 school year, we have accumulated several items in our Lost & Found. Unclaimed items include sweatshirts, lunch bags and jackets. These items are currently being stored on the stage in our cafeteria. We encourage students and parents from all grades to make every effort to check for missing or lost items in our lost & found now through Friday, December 22nd.
