The LoES School Improvement Team is looking for parents to serve as parent representatives on the School Improvement Team. Meetings will take place on Friday mornings at 8:00am approximately one time per month. Please click HERE to indicate your interest in serving on this committee.

With the end of the year approaching, it is very important that all media center books are returned as soon as possible. Please help your child to locate an return any books they still have checked out. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Jankoski at jody_jankoski@hcpss.org.

Our student arrival window each morning is 8:35 - 8:55 AM. Our students enter the building beginning at 8:40. We have noticed an increase in the number of students, especially our walkers, arriving before our staff reports to arrival duty at 8:35. Thank you for your help in ensuring our students arrive between 8:35 and 8:55 AM.

Fall Individual Pictures will take place at Longfellow on Friday October 14th, 2016. Picture order envelopes will be sent home by October 10th.

Congratulations to our Longfellow artists who have artwork displayed at the 45th Annual Spring Art Exhibition at the Mall in Columbia. Artwork from every HCPSS school will be on display at the mall from April 9 through April 21 at 3 pm. There is a opening reception at the mall on Thursday, April 11 from 6:00 - 7:00pm. Longfellow’s Annual “Evening of Excellence” is Thursday, May 11, 2017, from 6:30-8:00 PM. During this time you will be able to listen to our Hand Chimes and Jazz Band, see creative Science Fair, G/T CEU and Seminar projects as well as many classroom activities! We hope to see you there!

HCPSS schools are closed for Spring Break Friday, March 25 - Sunday, April 3. School will resume on Monday, April 4.
