Longfellow (LoES) is a Schoolwide Title I School. Parent Involvement is an important part of Title I. LoES and Howard County Public Schools (HCPSS) value your input and partnership in supporting the academic success of your child. Please take a few minutes to complete this survey regarding school improvement, climate, and family engagement. This will be used to evaluate our Title I program so that we can better serve you. Longfellow's Makerfaire is coming on Thursday, March 21 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Student maker projects will be on display. There will also be lots of projects to make and learn about at the Faire such as slingshot cars, plastic fusing, erupting paint, paper circuits, and zoetropes. Congratulations to second grade artist Emma G., Edgar M., Abigail P. and Connor W.. Their work is included in the Howard County Second Grade Showcase of artwork in the Department of Education Gallery. The work will be on display through April 11. If you are at the Board of Education, take a look at all of the excellent work completed by second grade artists.

Maryland Special Education Parent Involvement Survey

It is the goal of the Department of Special Education to provide high quality special education services in a consistent and collaborative manner. As a department, we are always looking for ways to improve our services and we value your voice. One way you can support our work is to complete The Maryland Special Education Parent Involvement Survey. We will utilize the results of this survey to develop action steps toward continuous improvement. You are valued partners and we look forward to receiving your input. Kindergarten Registration for 2019-20

Parents/guardians of children who will be five as of September 1, 2019 must enroll their children in kindergarten for the 2019-2020 school year. Parents may begin the enrollment process online, followed by completion of the registration process at your child’s school. Online registration is not required and parents may elect to complete the full registration in person. - you can review all of the details here.
